Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams appears to want out. This doesn't come as a surprise to many. Adams famously expressed his frustrations with the organization in the Netflix show "Receiver," and while he isn't catching hospital passes from Jimmy Garoppolo anymore, he's still unhappy.
Adams is now dealing with a hamstring injury, but the understanding is that he won't return to the team. He could see an extended absence while trade talks continue.
So why does Davante Adams want to be traded? What are his most likely landing spots?

Why Does Davante Adams Want To Be Traded?
One of the bigger reasons he wants to leave is because the Raiders are a bad team. They're a bad offense and have terrible quarterback play. He's not able to succeed at his position like he could with a better QB and they're not even close to playoff contention.

While he's been mature about the situation and at least tangentially taken responsibility, it's not his fault. Las Vegas released former QB Derek Carr at the end of 2022 after benching him for the last two games, a move Adams likely hated. He and Carr were great friends and had played for two years in college at Fresno State University.

In 2022, the former Fresno State QB helped the former Fresno State WR to a monster season. No. 4 connected with No. 17 for 100 receptions, 1,516 yards, and 14 touchdowns, Adams' best statistical season of his career. The Raiders then proceeded to proverbially spit in his face.
After leaving the Green Bay Packers and longtime quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Adams figured he was in a stable situation with a great friend and would continue to dominate for some time. That didn't happen. The quarterback position has been a carousel for Las Vegas since 2023 now, and he wants off the ride.
Where Could He Be Traded?
The primary landing spot appears to be the New York Jets. The longtime Packer and Raider wants to play with one of his old quarterbacks, which isn't a surprise. Having trust in his signal-caller appears to be the biggest factor in his preference of destinations.

NFL insider Adam Schefter stated that the star receiver wants to play with the New Orleans Saints or New York Jets since Carr and Rodgers are their quarterbacks, respectively. It's not the most complicated situation. Many other teams have inquired about trading for Adams, but the price is currently too high.
The Raiders are reportedly demanding a second-rounder and more for the 11th-year vet, but it's not known if they're willing to be flexible to get a deal done and are just doing what they can to inflate his value. He's 31 years old, and the team supposedly wants whoever trades for him to eat all his contract money. In short, it could take time.
It would be surprising to see him traded to a team other than the Saints and Jets, but it's not known when or if the trade will go through yet, so only time will tell.
