The 2024 fantasy football season is nearly over. While many leagues end their year in Week 17, some play in Week 18.
Fantasy championships will be rewarded depending on what happens this weekend.
Should fantasy players start Zach Ertz, Jonnu Smith, or Chig Okonkwo in Week 18? Let’s dive into their fantasy outlooks.
Should I Start Zach Ertz For Fantasy Football?
Ertz had a solid first season with the Washington Commanders. The veteran is the TE9 for the year, averaging 8.2 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. Last week, he played a massive role in the win over the Atlanta Falcons.
The veteran tight end had six receptions for 72 receiving yards, two touchdowns, and 22.2 fantasy points, setting season highs in multiple categories. More importantly, Ertz faces the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. He had six receptions for 38 receiving yards, a touchdown, and 12.8 fantasy points against the division rivals earlier this year.

Should I Start Jonnu Smith For Fantasy Football?
Smith has been one of the biggest surprises in fantasy football this season. The veteran tight end had little expectations in 2024 with the Miami Dolphins. However, he is the TE4 for the year, averaging 10.3 half-point PPR fantasy points per game, totaling seven receiving touchdowns.
Last week, Smith had three receptions for 26 receiving yards, a touchdown, and 10.1 fantasy points against the Cleveland Browns, finding the end zone for the third time in the past four contests. More importantly, he faces the New York Jets in a must-win game for the Dolphins. Smith had a touchdown and 11.9 fantasy points against Miami in the Week 14 matchup.

Should I Start Chig Okonkwo For Fantasy Football?
Okonkwo is the TE21 for the year, averaging 5.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The young tight end has two receiving touchdowns this season, with the last coming in Week 12. However, he has been an excellent starting option lately.
The former Maryland star has averaged 9.3 targets and 11 fantasy points per game over the past three weeks, scoring at least 8.4 in every contest. Okonkwo faces the Houston Texans in a meaningless game for the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. However, he had 13.5 fantasy points in the matchup against the division rivals earlier this season.
