If you play in a Week 18 fantasy football championship, RotoBaller has you covered this week. In this article, we will determine if tight ends like T.J. Hockenson, Hunter Henry, and Tucker Kraft are great starts in the final week of the season.
All three tight ends have surely had their ups and downs in fantasy this year. However, Hockenson, Henry, and Kraft have all had some big fantasy games this season.
So, should fantasy managers start Hockenson, Henry, and Kraft in Week 18? Let's dive in and find out.
Should I Start T.J. Hockenson for Fantasy Football?
Hockenson hasn't been a consistent fantasy option since returning from injury in Week 9. He finished as a top-12 fantasy tight end just three times over the last nine weeks and has scored over 12 PPR fantasy points only once this season. Unfortunately, things don't get easier for him in Week 18 against the Lions.
TJ Hockenson: “it’s going to be an exciting game, that’s all you want in January football.”

Detroit has given up the second-fewest fantasy points to opposing tight ends, and only three tight ends have scored in double figures in PPR formats against this secondary this season. As a result, Hockenson will be a riskier TE1 option this season. The Vikings playmaker has totaled over 55 receiving yards just once across the past five games.
Should I Start Hunter Henry for Fantasy Football?
After a disappointing performance last week, it might be tough for fantasy managers to trust Henry in fantasy. He didn't catch a pass in last week's loss and played a season-low 57% of the team's offensive snaps. However, the veteran tight end will still be a low-end TE1 option in Week 18 against the Bills.
Seriously, another fantasy starter scoring zero points? Hunter Henry is the latest culprit. Unbelievable.

He scored 13.9 PPR fantasy points the last time he faced this Bills secondary back in Week 16, and Buffalo just allowed Tyler Conklin to score 21.7 PPR fantasy points a week ago. Just make sure that Henry plays in Week 18, as he is listed as questionable for Sunday's game due to a foot injury.
Should I Start Tucker Kraft for Fantasy Football?
It has been tough to rely on Kraft in fantasy in recent weeks. He has finished as a top-12 fantasy tight end only once since Week 9 and has scored under 10 PPR fantasy points in three straight games. Therefore, the young playmaker will only be a TE1 option in 16-plus team leagues this weekend against the Bears.

Although Chicago has allowed a top-10 fantasy tight end finish in five of the past six weeks, Kraft will be a riskier play in Week 18. He has caught two passes or fewer in six of the past seven games. So, it might be best to play another tight end in fantasy this week.
