With the fantasy playoffs in full swing, it is crucial to consider all options when constructing our starting lineup. In this piece, I will analyze three running backs who have been solid RB2s all season but have flashed RB1 potential at times.
Brian Robinson Jr. has taken full control of the Washington backfield, while Tank Bigsby has begun to lose work to Travis Etienne Jr. and Rhamondre Stevenson has seen the opportunities but has not produced on them.
So should we consider starting or sitting these players for fantasy football in Week 16? Let's take a closer look.
Should I Start Brian Robinson Jr. for Fantasy Football?
With Austin Ekeler (concussion) sidelined, Brian Robinson has become a true workhorse option in the Commanders backfield. Over his previous two games, he has averaged 18.5 attempts per game with four total targets. During this span, he has tallied 95.0 yards per game.

This weekend he has a tougher matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles who have allowed the third-fewest PPR points to opposing running backs. However, given his high-volume role and nose for the end zone (eight TDs in 11 games) he should be viewed as a must-start RB2.
Should I Start Tank Bigsby for Fantasy Football?
After leading the backfield in Week 14 with 18 carries for 55 yards and a score, Bigsby reverted to the No.2 role last weekend as he logged just 22 offensive snaps. This was much less than Travis Etienne's 54. In this game, Bigsby logged just 11 attempts for 42 yards.

Even though he has a solid matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders who have allowed the 15th-most PPR points to opposing RBs this season, he is hard to trust in shallow formats given his inconsistent role. However, in deeper 14+ team formats, he is still a viable flex option.
Should I Start Rhamondre Stevenson for Fantasy Football?
Since Week 9, Rhamondre Stevenson has tallied less than double-digit attempts in just one game. During this six-game stretch, he has averaged 14.8 attempts per game while tallying just under 70.0 total yards per contest. Last weekend he ran the ball 13 times for 69 yards and caught his lone target for 16 yards.

Even though he has only found the end zone twice since Week 9, he has a fantastic matchup this weekend against the Buffalo Bills. The Bills have allowed the second-most PPR points to opposing RBs this season. Given his high-volume role, Stevenson should be in a good position to break out of his scoring slump. He should be viewed as a solid RB2 in all formats.
