As the season progresses, injuries occur, and quarterback play changes, creating a ripple effect throughout the team—especially for wide receivers. At this critical point in the season, making the most informed decisions about who belongs in your lineup and who should be on the bench is essential.

This article will examine the Atlanta Falcons' pass-catchers, specifically Drake London, Darnell Mooney, and Kyle Pitts. 

I will highlight recent statistics for these players, provide my recommendations for Week 15, and evaluate whether they should be included in your starting lineups.

 

Should I Start Drake London for Fantasy Football?

Yes. Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London had 10 targets in Week 14 but could only haul in just five of those passes, tallying 70 yards receiving in Sunday's 42-21 loss to the Vikings. The theme here for these Falcons pass catchers will mainly revolve around the struggling quarterback Kirk Cousins.

London is Cousins' go-to target in the passing game, as he's earned a 25.5% target share on the year and 10-plus targets in four of the last five games. Where Cousins has struggled the most over the past four weeks has been throwing interceptions and not throwing touchdowns. He still averages 267 pass yards per game, giving London WR2 value in PPR formats.

The Falcons face the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 15 and look to get back on track in a must-win game. Look for the Falcons to lean on London to help them get back on track. RotoBaller ranks him as WR10 for Week 15.

 

Should I Start Darnell Mooney for Fantasy Football?

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Darnell Mooney hauled in six of seven targets for 142 yards in Sunday's 42-21 loss to the Vikings. Mooney ripped off chunk plays of 24, 28, and 49 yards while logging the highest yardage total of the season and his career. Mooney has proven to be a reliable pass catcher for the Falcons in 2024 and is putting together one of the best seasons of his career. 

The Falcons take on the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 15 and are four-point favorites. With how Cousins has been playing recently, they will likely lean on their strong run game with Bijan Robinson and instead target Cousins' go-to receiver, Drake London, in the passing game.

He currently ranks WR12 for the year, which might be shocking to some fantasy managers. Mooney is more of a boom-or-bust option at the wide receiver position than his counterpart, London. That makes him a WR3 with a high ceiling but a lower floor. RotoBaller ranks him as WR35 for Week 15.

 

Should I Start Kyle Pitts for Fantasy Football?

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts was a non-factor in the passing game yet again in Sunday's 42-21 loss to the Vikings. The 24-year-old recorded six targets but caught just one pass for 14 yards, the fourth time in the last five games that he caught just one or fewer passes.

There was a lot of hype coming into the 2024 season for Pitts. At this point in the season, he is not a reliable option at the tight end position, considering most fantasy managers are in must-win situations this week. 

As discussed with Mooney above, the Falcons will likely rely on their run game in a script that should see them take the lead. He currently ranks TE14 for the year, and RotoBaller ranks TE18 for Week 15.
