While the fantasy football season is over for most managers, there are still more chances to play Daily Fantasy Sports for anyone who wants to test their skills or wager money on certain players' performances. For you guys, RotoBaller will be here giving start-sit recommendations until the end.
At receiver, there are still plenty of highly talented prospects left to choose. The playoffs can be even more difficult to predict than the regular season, though. Players on both sides of the ball are fighting to stop their season from coming to an end, and there's a greater sense of urgency unless you were the Minnesota Vikings last week.
Below, we'll break down whether you should start Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams or Philadelphia Eagles WRs A.J. Brown (knee, rest) and DeVonta Smith.
Should I Start Jameson Williams for Fantasy Football?
The Detroit Lions will take on the Washington Commanders in the divisional round. Of the three players in this piece, we like Williams the most as a DFS play. The Lions' offense is ridiculously elite, and this game could be a shootout. Both quarterbacks, Jared Goff and Jayden Daniels, have been highly productive this season.

His chemistry with his QB has developed very nicely this season, and he has elite speed that makes him a nightmare matchup against any defense. The Commanders D has been highly questionable this season, and despite the signing of cornerback Marshon Lattimore, they don't have the chops to handle the Lions pass-catching group.
Somehow, Williams ($6.7k) is cheaper than Smith ($7.3k) on FanDuel, so we see that as a fantastic value. He's priced a bit more reasonably on DraftKings but is still worth adding to your lineup.
Should I Start DeVonta Smith for Fantasy Football?
We wouldn't recommend this. The Eagles will face the Los Angeles Rams, and while it's a good matchup on paper since LA has a relatively weak pass defense, the matchup in the trenches is more important. The Rams' offensive line has played terribly this season.
Offensive Line composite rankings:
Bills #5
Lions #10
Ravens #15
Bengals #28 https://t.co/seUlSh9Jy4 pic.twitter.com/0VCQHRklQn— 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 (@BengalsCaptain) December 13, 2024
They've been regularly disrupted due to injuries, and at one point, they were missing several starters. Injuries along the OL matter even when the players return, though, as the unit needs to be in sync, and that comes with plenty of playing time. To their credit, they did fine against the Vikings, though.
Either way, the Eagles passed the ball at the lowest rate in the league this season -- a full two percentage points lower than the second-fewest and 6% less than the fourth-lowest. Since the signing of running back Saquon Barkley, they are a run-first and run-often team.
That hasn't left much room for Smith to make an impact in fantasy.
Should I Start A.J. Brown for Fantasy Football?
Brown is dealing with a minor knee injury that hasn't caused him to miss any time. While it's unlikely to affect his performance in the game, the fact remains that his usage hasn't been good for most of the season. As stated above, Philadelphia runs the ball incredibly heavily.

Brown is an incredibly elite receiver. He's one of the best at beating both man and zone coverage and hasn't been particularly guardable this season. The problem has been the offensive scheme and the play of his quarterback, Jalen Hurts. There are endless clips of AJB running wide open and not getting the ball.
It's been telling that the most notable part of his season hasn't been his play but his reading a book on the sideline. We don't think he's worth his price tag on either FanDuel or DraftKings -- he may not even see 10 targets.
