Who doesn’t love the top WRs? This year, we have four absolute stars in the position, including CeeDee Lamb, Justin Jefferson, Ja'Marr Chase, and Tyreek Hill.
That's not all of the top talent, though. We also have an elite second tier of players on good offenses, like Garrett Wilson, A.J. Brown, and Amon-Ra St. Brown.
Deciding between these players in fantasy football can be tough, so let’s break down Chase, Jefferson, and Wilson.

Garrett Wilson Fantasy Football Outlook
Despite only having seven career touchdowns, Wilson could potentially be the WR1 overall at the end of the season. It’s not often we can say that; however, it’s not often a player has the talent of Wilson and has been limited by QB play. With Aaron Rodgers returning, this is truly a make-or-break season for the Jets.
If things go well, signing Rodgers might be one of the best gambles in NFL history. However, if things go poorly, this team may be in a perpetual rebuild. With an aging QB coming off a torn Achilles, there is an inherent risk to Rodgers producing. As a result, no matter how talented Wilson is, he is my third option on this list due to his risky QB play.
FACT OR FICTION ❓

Justin Jefferson Fantasy Football Outlook
Speaking of poor QB play, Sam Darnold is now the QB for the Vikings this season. Ironically a draft bust by the Jets, Darnold has continued to get NFL chances under center. This Vikings team has a great coaching staff and has arguably the best WR in the league, could Darnold finally succeed?
More importantly, can Jefferson maintain his elite fantasy production? In his six career games without Kirk Cousins, Jefferson has averaged 6.0 receptions, 94 yards, and 0.3 touchdowns per game. Thankfully, Darnold will be better than the backups who played when Cousins was down, but that 0.3 touchdowns per game is a little scary.
Darnold is no Aaron Rodgers; however, the floor (or in this case Achilles) will not break out from under him. As a result, I am happy to bank on Jefferson’s talent, but I wouldn’t take him over the upside of this next player.
With Sam Darnold, Justin Jefferson will be a top 5 WR for fantasy football…

Ja'Marr Chase Fantasy Football Outlook
When selecting a top WR, you look for primarily three things: talent, a good QB, and lots of targets. Ja'Marr Chase checks all of these boxes. Chase’s elite playmaking ability, paired with his college best friend Joe Burrow under center, can lead to monster games.
Over his 35 career regular-season games, he has over 120 yards in 29% of them and averages 0.83 touchdowns per game. That includes the games without Burrow.
Although he has more target competition than Jefferson and Wilson, Chase can have a 15+ touchdown season. That's something Jefferson does not have, and Wilson may only have if Rodgers can turn back the clock to his MVP form.
Chase provides the potential of a league-winning ceiling with a respectable floor. Plus, who doesn't want Joe Burrow's top target on his revenge tour? That’s why I’m taking Chase over Wilson and Jefferson this season.
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase is expected to play in the team’s season opener, HC Zac Taylor said Tuesday.
