There are less than two weeks left before the new NFL season kicks off. Fantasy football players worldwide may have their drafts in the coming days, and they may be in a dilemma about who to draft when they are on the clock.
Chris Olave, Mike Evans, and DK Metcalf are among the best receivers in the league and will be highly pursued by many in their fantasy football drafts.
Who among Olave, Evans, or Metcalf should you draft in fantasy football this year? Let's take a look at all of their fantasy outlooks, which might help you make the right decision in your draft.

Chris Olave Fantasy Football Outlook
The New Orleans Saints drafted Chris Olave in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, and he has not disappointed. Olave has had two straight 1,000+ receiving yards seasons to start his career and is the clear-cut WR1 in New Orleans despite not having the best quarterback play.
In 16 games last season, Olave had 87 catches for 1,123 yards and five touchdowns on 138 targets, averaging 70.2 receiving yards per game. There is no denying that Olave is a great player, but question marks around quarterback Derek Carr's overall performance and consistency are a cause for concern.

DK Metcalf Fantasy Football Outlook
Metcalf is coming off two straight 1,000+ receiving yards seasons and will remain the Seattle Seahawks WR1 this year. In 16 games last season, he had 66 receptions for 1,114 yards and eight touchdowns on 119 targets, averaging 69.6 receiving yards per game.
The Seahawks offense is expected to leap this year under new offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb, and it will be beneficial for Metcalf. Playing alongside two other great receivers, Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, is both a blessing and a curse for the Ole Miss product, as he will have less defensive attention but, at the same time, fewer targets.
Mike Evans Fantasy Football Outlook
Evans is a future Hall of Famer who finished with more than 1,000 receiving yards for the 10th consecutive year last season, and it's not to expect that streak to continue this year.
Evans signed a two-year, $41 million contract extension with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this offseason and will remain the WR1 on the team. Evans finished last season with 79 receptions for 1,255 yards and scored 13 touchdowns in 17 games on 136 targets, averaging 73.8 receiving yards per game.
Now that both Evans and Baker Mayfield have signed contract extensions with the franchise, expect them to once again put on a show in the NFC South.
Who Should You Draft in Fantasy Football?
In PPR leagues last season, Evans, Olave, and Metcalf had these statistics:
- Mike Evans - 282.5 total points, averaged 16.6 points per game.
- Chris Olave - 231.3 total points, averaged 14.5 points per game.
- D.K. Metcalf - 225.4 total points, averaged 14.1 points per game.
Happy Birthday to the greatest offensive player in Tampa Bay @Buccaneers history, living legend, and future HOF’er Mike Evans! 🐐

Based on last season's data and the situation surrounding them this year, my personal preference is to draft Evans over Olave and Metcalf. While the other two will also put up good numbers, the Derek Carr factor, along with the Seahawks having two other great receivers, puts Evans in the best position among the three.
