The Houston Texans shocked the football world in 2023, going from the second-worst team in the NFL during the previous season to a playoff team that managed to win a playoff game. Much of that has been down to the play of C.J. Stroud, but Stroud wouldn't be where he is today without the help of his wide receivers.
Nico Collins and Tank Dell were Stroud's main weapons in 2023, and they are one of the best young WR duos in the league. Now, the Texans' receiving core has gotten even scarier with the addition of perennial Pro Bowler Stefon Diggs. With three talented options, it's up to DeMeco Ryans to decide who will be the main man.
Who will be the Texans' WR1 next season? Let's find out.

Who Is The Houston Texans' WR1?
Stefon Diggs' talent and experience over Collins and Dell should make him the de facto WR1 right now. However, position battles are more complex than who has the most experience or who is the most talented.
Collins and Dell are both very familiar with Houston's plays, and Diggs will take a while to catch up and learn the playbook. So we could see Stroud target Collins more in the first few weeks of the season as Diggs gets acquainted with the offense.

However, Diggs has just one year left on his deal and will be motivated more than ever to get one last big payday before he declines. He'll be 31 next offseason, so expect him to try his best to secure a new deal.
Collins might get the most fantasy points in the first few weeks as Diggs adjusts to his new team, but the Maryland product could make up the difference and finish as the team's overall WR1, as he will most likely play the best football of his career down the stretch.
No matter who finishes as the WR1 though, the real winners here are C.J. Stroud's fantasy owners, who will rack up many points as their QB has three outstanding WRs to throw to in 2024.
