There was a bunch of hype surrounding the New York Jets heading into the 2023 season. They traded for future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers, which was likely going to put them over the top.
However, on just the fourth snap of the season, Rodgers tore his Achilles on a 10-yard sack against the Buffalo Bills. The quarterback's season was over, and the Jets couldn't recover. They finished with a 7-10 record and a third-place finish in the AFC East.
With a third-place finish last season, New York should play a lighter schedule in 2024 with the return of Rodgers. So, who are the Jets' opponents next year? How easy is their schedule? Let's dive in and find out.

Who Do the New York Jets Face in 2024?
The full schedule won't be released until sometime in May, but the Jets already know their opponents for the upcoming season. They will have eight home games and nine road games. Three of those home games and three of those road games will come against division opponents (Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, and New England Patriots).
Outside of those AFC East division games, the Jets will have matchups against the entire AFC South (Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, Indianapolis Colts, and Tennessee Titans) and the entire NFC West (San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks, and Arizona Cardinals).
.@EGreenbergJets asked @ConnorJRogers what he expects from #Jets QB Aaron Rodgers in 2024 considering his age & not playing ball last year:

The final three opponents were determined by New York's third-place finish in the AFC East. The Jets will play the third-place finisher in the AFC North (Pittsburgh Steelers), AFC West (Denver Broncos), and NFC North (Minnesota Vikings). Those three matchups round out their 17 opponents for the 2024 season.
How Difficult is the Jets' 2024 Schedule?
In terms of strength of schedule, the Jets will face a middle-of-the-road schedule in 2024. Of the 14 different opponents they face, six were in the playoffs last year, and nine finished with an above .500 record.
Playing two games each against the Dolphins and Bills won't be easy for New York next season, even with Rodgers back. The Jets also face solid teams in the 49ers, Rams, Seahawks, Texans, Colts, and Jaguars in 2024. 10 of their 17 games will come against these squads.

The Steelers, Broncos, and Vikings could also present tough challenges next year, but a lot depends on what moves those teams make this offseason. Still, the Jets have an easier schedule than most in the AFC East, and that should help them stay atop the division standings in 2024.
