The 2024 NFL regular season is nearly here, meaning fantasy football drafts are underway.
While Christian McCaffrey is the clear-cut 1.01 pick if 100% healthy, many fantasy players will draft a wide receiver with the second through eighth pick.
However, which wide receivers are the top in fantasy football this year? Let’s look at my five top-tier wide receivers for the 2024 fantasy football season.

CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys
Lamb is the focal point of the Cowboys’ passing attack, making him one of the top wide receivers to draft this year. However, the superstar receiver isn’t at training camp as the two sides work on a long-term contract extension. Hopefully, Lamb and the Cowboys get a deal done. Unless the veteran is going to miss Week 1, he is the top wide receiver in my rankings.
The #Cowboys and WR CeeDee Lamb still have work to do on an extension. One of the holdups: The length of the contract. These two sides think very differently when it comes to years.

Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals
Chase is in a similar situation as Lamb. The former LSU star had a down 2023 season with Joe Burrow dealing with injuries. However, Chase has an overall WR1 upside if Burrow can stay healthy. However, many believe he won’t step on the field without a new contract despite having two years left on his rookie deal.

Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings
Jefferson had over 1,000 receiving yards last season despite missing seven games with injuries and leaving two others early. He put up massive numbers despite playing with multiple quarterbacks.
Unfortunately, J.J. McCarthy’s rookie year is over after suffering a torn meniscus during the preseason. Yet, Jefferson should be fine with Sam Darnold and Nick Mullens under center.

Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions
St. Brown is the safest wide receiver to draft this year. The Lions have the same offensive unit as last season, where the former USC star set career highs in several categories, including receiving touchdowns (10). While many have high hopes for Jameson Williams in 2024, St. Brown will remain the focal point of the passing attack.

Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins
Hill fell short of 2,000 receiving yards in 2023 but was one of the top wide receivers in fantasy football. However, he is now on the wrong side of 30 and is dealing with a minor hand injury.
While the age and injury shouldn’t scare fantasy players away from drafting him, don’t be surprised if Hill and Jaylen Waddle put up similar numbers in 2024 after the veteran was far superior last season.
Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill is latest player dealing with minor injury. He wore a removable brace on right hand during practice today.
Hill was in uniform/helmet but I didn’t spot him catch a pass. Mike McDaniel has noted caution with many players to get/keep them healthy for season
