Veteran wide receiver T.Y. Hilton was a third-round pick by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2012 NFL Draft. The former Florida International star receiver spent the first 10 years of his career in Indianapolis.
Hilton had 631 receptions on 1,076 targets for 9,691 receiving yards and 53 touchdowns in his 10 years with the Colts despite playing with multiple starting quarterbacks. However, the veteran wide receiver was near unstoppable when Andrew Luck with under center.
The former third-round pick had over 1,000 receiving yards in four of the six years he played with Luck. Unfortunately, Hilton has struggled with injuries in his career. He missed 28.6% of the games over his final three years with the Colts because of injuries.

What Did T.Y. Hilton Accomplish In 2022?
After spending 10 years in Indianapolis, Hilton signed a one-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys. The veteran wide receiver had seven receptions on 10 targets for 121 receiving yards in three games. Despite the limited production, Hilton made a few impressive plays for the Cowboys last year.
Which Teams Could Sign T.Y. Hilton?
Dallas had several free agents this offseason, including multiple pass catchers. Noah Brown and Dalton Schultz signed with the Houston Texans, while Hilton remains unsigned. However, the Cowboys likely won’t re-sign the veteran wide receiver after trading for Brandin Cooks.
While Hilton hasn’t mentioned retirement this offseason, the veteran wide receiver’s best days are behind him. The former third-round pick has totaled only 86 receptions on 140 targets for 1,214 receiving yards and eight touchdowns over the past three years in 28 games. Despite the decline in his production, Hilton can still provide veteran depth and experience to any wide receiver room in the NFL.
One potential landing spot is the Jacksonville Jaguars. The AFC South division champions got a breakout year from Christian Kirk and Zay Jones last season. Kirk had 84 receptions on 133 targets for 1,108 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. Meanwhile, Jones had 82 receptions on 121 targets for 823 receiving yards and five touchdowns. More importantly, the Jaguars added Calvin Ridley.
However, Jacksonville lost veteran Marvin Jones Jr. in free agency. While the team has an impressive trio of wide receivers, the depth behind them is thin. Hilton can provide the Jaguars with the depth and experience they lack behind their starting trio of wide receivers.
