Latavius Murray ranks No. 6 in rushing yards amongst active players, behind Nick Chubb and ahead of Dalvin Cook. It's not because Latavius Murray has been the sixth-best running back in the league during that time. The best he ever did was his second season when he rushed for 1,066 yards as a Raider in 2015 (the sixth-most!).
However, he haas been in the league longer than most running backs, and he's been a reliable role player. He's played for five teams, carrying the rock over 100 times in each of the last eight seasons, and has averaged over 4.0 yards per carry in each of the last five seasons.
Is Latavius Murray still able to produce as a member of a running back committee?

Is Latavius Murray Still Productive?
Murray gained 703 yards on 160 carries for the Denver Broncos last season. The Broncos signed Murray off the Saints practice squad after Javonte Williams went down with an ACL injury. Murray started the final seven games of the Broncos season and produced 100-yard games in Weeks 15 and 18.
There's no question Latavius Murray can still bring something to an NFL offense. He finished 2022 with his highest PFF offense grade (82.5) and highest running grade (86.0) of his career. At 6'3" and 230 pounds, he's a bruising early down back who is good at punching the ball in at the goal line and grinding down the clock at the end of a game.
In fact, Murray might even return to the Broncos and reunite with his former coach.
Will Latavius Murray Return to the Denver Broncos?
In 2019 and 2020, Murray played for the Saints while Sean Payton coached. Those were two of his most efficient seasons in terms of yards per attempt.
It has been reported that the Broncos are considering signing Murray again. With the status of Javonte Williams uncertain, they may need another starting-caliber running back. Samaje Perine is a better pass blocker and receiver and played as the Bengals' third-down back for a couple of seasons. Murray is on the field mostly for first and second downs. The two would complement each other.
Coach Payton would be excited to have him back. Did you see how they interacted on the set of the Pat McAfee Show? Payton recalled that Murray was lobbying for him to take the Broncos job back in December.
Other teams that could use a running back to carry part of the load include the Dallas Cowboys, the Carolina Panthers, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Cleveland Browns.
