Veteran wide receiver Kenny Golladay was a third-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions. The former Northern Illinois wide receiver had 160 receptions for 2,285 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns in his college career.
Golladay had a solid rookie season in Detroit, totaling 28 receptions on 48 targets for 477 receiving yards and three touchdowns. However, the young receiver turned into a star the following year.
The former Northern Illinois star had 70 receptions on 119 targets for 1,063 receiving yards and five touchdowns in 2018. Golladay then had a career year in 2019, totaling 65 receptions on 116 targets for 1,190 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns while making his first career pro bowl. He led the NFL in receiving touchdowns that year. Unfortunately, the young wide receiver had a back injury in 2020, forcing him to miss 11 games.

What Did Kenny Golladay Accomplish in 2022?
Despite dealing with a back injury in 2020, the New York Giants signed Golladay to a massive four-year contract worth $72 million. However, the Giants almost immediately regretted the deal.
The former Northern Illinois star had only 37 receptions on 76 targets for 521 receiving yards in his first season in New York. Unfortunately, the following year was even worse for Golladay. He had only six receptions on 17 targets for 81 receiving yards and a touchdown. Furthermore, it was the only touchdown he scored as a Giant.
Which Teams Could Sign Kenny Golladay?
After two years with the team, New York released the veteran wide receiver. They did not designate Golladay as a post-June 1 cut, meaning the Giants will save only $6.7 million in salary cap space this season.
Golladay was considered an emerging star a few years ago. However, his value has taken a massive hit over the past two seasons. Despite being released two weeks ago, the veteran wide receiver is still a free agent.
Unfortunately, Golladay will have to settle for a one-year deal worth the veteran minimum this offseason. Furthermore, he will likely have to earn his roster spot in August. However, there are a few solid potential landing spots for the veteran wide receiver.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are one potential landing spot. They have two young wide receivers, Diontae Johnson and George Pickens. However, the depth behind them is slim. More importantly, the Steelers have a history of developing wide receivers. Maybe they can help Golladay turn around his career.
