What Did Tank Dell Accomplish In College?
The former Cougar wide receiver had an outstanding career. However, it didn’t get off to a hot start. Dell had 29 receptions for 428 receiving yards and three touchdowns in his first season at Houston. Despite a slow start, the explosive playmaker was near unstoppable the past two years.
Dell had 90 receptions for 1,329 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns in 14 games in 2021. He finished first in the American conference in all three categories. Meanwhile, the former Cougar took his game to another level in 2022.
He had 109 receptions for 1,398 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns last year. The former Cougar had the most receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns in the conference. Furthermore, his 109 receptions were the second-most in the entire country, only one behind Purdue’s Charlie Jones. Meanwhile, Dell led the NCAA in receiving yards and touchdowns last season.
Which Team Could Pick Tank Dell In The 2023 NFL Draft?
While the former Cougar won’t be a first-round pick, many scouts believe Dell will get drafted on Friday night. He has met with several wide receiver-needy teams this offseason, including the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs, Houston Texans, Green Bay Packers, Cleveland Browns, and Los Angeles Rams. Furthermore, Dell had a visit with the Tennessee Titans.
Dell is one of the smallest wide receivers in the draft this year. Yet, he can make an impact on any NFL team. However, the top best landing spot for the former Cougar is the Chiefs. They lost JuJu Smith-Schuster in free agency this offseason. Furthermore, Patrick Mahomes is the perfect quarterback to take advantage of Dell’s skill set.
