The 2023 NFL Draft is rapidly approaching. The 2023 Reese's Senior Bowl is over, and the next major hurdle for potential NFL rookies is the NFL Combine.
While the 2023 free agent market in the wide receiver class is underwhelming, teams can look to the 2023 NFL Draft for wide receiver help.
Now is the time to look at potential wide receivers in the upcoming 2023 NFL Draft, and let's look at which team could select Houston Cougars wide receiver, Nathaniel Dell.

Who is Nathaniel "Tank" Dell?
Dell completed his senior year at the University of Houston. He is 23 years old, and depending on your scale, he is either 5'8" or 5'10" and weighs 165 pounds.
Last season, he led the nation in touchdowns (17) and receiving yards (1399). He also led the FBS with 38 first downs on receptions.
Playing in Houston's spread-attack offense last season, Dell's numbers came while playing 67% of the offensive snaps out of the slot.
Nathaniel Dell's Draft Equity
Dell has difference-making speed and short-area quickness. He also understands when to work back to help his quarterback. His size and frame will lower his draft status, however.
He is buoyed by a good showing at the Senior Bowl practice, where he routinely beat defenders off the line and used his speed to run away from defenders when given even the slightest open space.
What Team Could Pick Nathaniel Dell in the 2023 NFL Draft?
Dell is most likely a Day 2-to-3 pick. The Atlanta Falcons make the most sense as the team that should pick Dell.
In the third round, the Falcons have the 76th pick. In the fourth round, they have picks #111 and #114, which could be used to acquire Dell.
The Falcons' current slot receiver, Olamide Zaccheaus, is a free agent with a predicted annual market value of $3.7 million yearly, per Spotrac.com.
The Falcons have shown they are also not opposed to the "smaller" wide receiver. Damiere Byrd played primarily outside for Atlanta in 2022 and weighed in at 162 lbs while being just 5'9". Byrd is also a free agent heading into the 2023 off-season.
Ideally, the Falcons would allow Byrd and Zaccheaus to walk, pick up a bigger-bodied wide receiver in free agency (the Falcons have over $51 million in cap space), and draft Dell in the third or fourth round.
