The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the hardest-coached and most successful teams in the NFL. Despite numerous injuries and inconsistent quarterback production, head coach Mike Tomlin got the Steelers into the playoffs this past season.
Pittsburgh ended the year with a 10-7 record, winning their final three regular season games. All three victories were over a team with a winning record. Furthermore, the Steelers defeated the AFC’s No. 1 playoff seed Baltimore Ravens twice during the regular season, including 17-10 in Week 5.
Following their 10-7 regular season record and opening-round exit from the playoffs, Pittsburgh will have the 20th overall pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

What Draft Picks Do The Pittsburgh Steelers Own?
The Steelers rarely make blockbuster trades. Instead, they opt for smaller deals that don’t result in massive changes to their draft capital. Pittsburgh has seven picks in the 2024 NFL Draft, including their first, second, and third-round selections.
They have back-to-back picks in the fourth round this year. One of those selections is their own pick, while the other came from the Los Angeles Rams in the Kevin Dotson trade the two teams made in August.
Pittsburgh traded Dotson, a 2024 fifth-round pick and a 2025 sixth-round selection to Los Angeles for a 2024 fourth-round pick and a 2025 fifth-round selection. The Steelers will not make a selection in the fifth round this year but do have a sixth and seventh-round pick.
Who Could The Pittsburgh Steelers Draft In The First Round?
While Pittsburgh made the playoffs in 2023, the team has several holes on its roster. They released three players on Monday, including offensive tackle Chukwuma Okorafor. The former third-round pick played in 14 games this past season, starting seven.
The Steelers have a massive need at offensive line. Last year, they used their first-round pick on Georgia offensive tackle Broderick Jones. Many believe the team will double dip in 2024 at offensive tackle, selecting Jones’ former college teammate – Amarius Mims.
Mims doesn’t have much college experience. Unfortunately, a nagging injury limited his production during the 2023 college football season. Yet, the former Bulldog is an athletic tackle who can get out in space and make blocks downfield, making him an excellent fit for Pittsburgh.
