The Buffalo Bills were one of the most bet-on teams to win the Super Bowl entering the 2023 season. While the team hasn't made it out of the second round of the playoffs in recent memory, many called for them to win it all this year.
Unfortunately, the Bills made things hard on themselves. They started a season with a 22-16 loss to the New York Jets despite Aaron Rodgers getting hurt early in the game. Buffalo also had an embarrassing loss to the New England Patriots in Week 7, losing 29-25.
After winning five consecutive games following their Week 13 bye, the Bills won the AFC East division title, securing the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoffs. However, the season again ended in the second round of the playoffs, losing 27-24 to the Kansas City Chiefs.

What Draft Picks Do The Buffalo Bills Own?
Following the team’s second-round playoff exit and their 11-6 regular season record, the Bills have the 28th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Buffalo has nine picks in this year’s NFL Draft, including seven on Day 3. The Bills have their first and second round selections. However, their third-round pick belongs to the Green Bay Packers as part of the Rasul Douglas deal at the NFL trade deadline.
The Bills did get back a fifth-round pick from the Packers in that deal. They have two picks in the fifth round and three in the sixth after making two draft-day trades with the Los Angeles Rams and Houston Texans last year.
Who Could The Buffalo Bills Draft In The First Round?
Unfortunately, the team heads into the offseason with several free agents and limited salary cap space. The Bills need to improve their defensive line and secondary. The team could lose several rotational defensive tackles in free agency. Meanwhile, safety Micah Hyde has likely played his last game with Buffalo.
However, their top need is on offense at wide receiver. Gabe Davis is a free agent and will likely find a better offer on the open market. Meanwhile, Stefon Diggs struggled in the second half this year and could get traded in the offseason.
One potential target for the Bills with the 28th overall pick is Xavier Worthy. The former Longhorn star wide receiver is likely the fastest player in the entire draft class. He can make plays at all three levels, especially downfield.
