Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss (neck) has now been sidelined for one game. He was already losing his starting job to his former backup, Chase Brown, and now has a injury problems to contend with. He was brought in from the Indianapolis Colts after the 2023 season.
He's now rushed 74 times for 242 yards and two touchdowns, additionally catching 23 of 27 targets for 187 yards and a touchdown. He's only averaged 3.3 yards per carry, showing poor efficiency despite five games with nine or more carries.
So when is he expected to return to the lineup for Cincinnati.

Zack Moss Injury Update
Previously, it wasn't clear how serious his injury was, but recently, it's been reported that Moss is now expected to miss the rest of the season with his neck injury.
Per @MikeGarafolo, Zack Moss is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season with a neck injury.

There is little hope for a late season return. Two months from now, Week 18 will be under way (Thursday, December 5 is the start of that week), and he will be re-evaluated around that time. If the team makes a deep run in the playoffs, there's a slim chance he could return if everything goes right, but that's still unlikely.
Zack Moss Fantasy Football Outlook
He can be dropped in all redraft fantasy leagues now. Whatever hopes there were of him contributing down the road have now been dashed. He will not play another game until 2025, if he does at all. Brown will handle the majority of the RB touches, and Khalil Herbert was just acquired today by the team in a trade with the Chicago Bears.

It's likely that Herbert will take on some semblance of the role Moss had, and slowly be worked in to the offense. For now, Brown will be the lead back, and that's unlikely to change throughout the season, since he's been playing well. Both backs have had their struggles with pass-protection, so it's possible the Bengals bring in another player at that position.
