Will Levis: Latest Injury Update - December 28
Levis (ankle) logged a full practice on Wednesday, which means things are looking good for the possibility of him returning in Week 17. While Levis said his ankle is still hurting a little bit, Titans' team reporter Jim Wyatt reported that Levis "looked pretty good" at practice.
Will Levis: Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Levis' fantasy potential also rests on the availability of the Titans' wide receivers. Kyle Philips (hamstring) has missed the past two games, but he also logged a full practice on Wednesday. DeAndre Hopkins appeared on the injury report, but it was not injury-related.
Levis was injured late in the Titans vs. Texans battle of Week 15. The Titans wore their old Oilers uniforms from their days in Houston, but Houston's current team ruined their fun, beating them 19-16 in overtime. The Titans will have a rematch against their divisional rivals in Week 17.
Will Levis: Fantasy Football Outlook
The Houston Texans have allowed the seventh-most passing yards, but fantasy quarterbacks have struggled against them because they haven't allowed much scoring, and they have intercepted 14 passes. Their ball-hawking secondary ranks in the top 10 for picking quarterbacks off.
One bright spot for quarterbacks facing the Texans is that Houston has allowed seven rushing touchdowns to quarterbacks, including one to Levis in Week 15. That's more than any other team has allowed, but if Levis' ankle is still hurting even a little, he might not run as much as he used to.
Will Levis finished as the QB6 in his big first game, but since then, he has not put together a top-12 finish. He has finished as a top-24 quarterback in each of his past three games, so he is a starter in Superflex and two-QB leagues. He is also worth considering as a potential starter if you are in a 16-team or 32-team league or if you are hurting at the QB position.
