Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins is yet again dealing with a hamstring injury. Higgins is no stranger to this type of injury, and it's nagged him throughout his NFL career.
Higgins has missed two weeks so far with his injury, and managers who have Higgins on their rosters are itching to get him back in the lineup given where he was drafted.
When will Higgins return? Will he play in Week 3 against the Washington Commanders?

Tee Higgins' Latest Injury Update - September 18
As of right now, Higgins hasn't been cleared off the injury report to return in Week 3. The next few days of practice will be extremely important to monitor. If he fails to practice even just on Wednesday, that will be a red flag for his potential return on Monday.

It's a good sign that Higgins was at least warming up before the game against the Chiefs, and his "doubtful" designation was slightly more optimistic than an "Out" on the injury report for his eventual return. Higgins may be able to ramp up his practice participation this week, and if he does, managers should be optimistic.
Alarmingly though, Higgins has suffered strains or pulls severe enough to have him listed on injury reports six times to the same (right) hamstring. Higgins likely has a long-term issue with that hamstring that's gone unaddressed or is something that can't be cured.
As an NFL player, Higgins has access to world-class medical care, training staff, and physical therapists. If they're unable to solve his hamstring issues, it's possible it's something that he'll never be able to conquer. Expecting full seasons out of Higgins could become a pipe dream if this is true.
Tee Higgins Injury Update for Fantasy Football
When Higgins returns to play, he could be limited initially. Fantasy managers will have a hard time not starting him, but he could ramp up his activity in games rather than returning to a full workload immediately, which would mean fewer routes, targets, and receptions than normal.
However, Higgins is an extremely talented receiver, and he may not need high target volume to be startable in most leagues. Chances are if he plays you have to start him anyway.

Given the nature of hamstring injuries and how easy they are to re-aggravate, the hope is that when he starts he's had plenty of time to heal up and minimize the risk of re-injuring his hamstring.
Tee Higgins Fantasy Football Outlook
Higgins is a must-start when he plays. He's a talented route runner with great speed, a feel for space, height, and vertical prowess to high-point balls, separation skills, a knack for beating zone, and is very difficult to cover in man coverage. He also has some nice home-run ability.

Higgins also has fellow elite WR Ja'Marr Chase to draw coverage away from him and will help the Bengals' offense reach new heights when he returns. The Bengals have struggled on offense without Higgins in the lineup, and defenses have focused heavily on shutting down Chase.
Don't leave Higgins on your bench if he plays. He'll have a healthy Joe Burrow throwing to him and is a fantastic wide receiver. He's a difference-maker in fantasy, and if healthy, he belongs in starting lineups.
