Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert put together a career year at age 31. Mostert was almost unstoppable all season, rushing for a career-high 1,012 yards and 21 total touchdowns, including 18 on the ground.
Injuries have always hurt Mostert over the years after he played just nine games combined during the 2020 and 2021 seasons. However, in 2023, the 31-year-old back stayed relatively healthy. That was until he got hurt in Week 16 against the Dallas Cowboys.
Is Mostert still hurt? Will he play in the Wild Card round? Let's dive in.

Raheem Mostert Injury Update
Mostert injured his knee/ankle in the Dolphins Week 16 win against the Dallas Cowboys. The veteran was injured when his offensive lineman ran into him on an outside run play. He got up limping and remained on the sideline for most of the contest.
Mostert did return for one play, though, which resulted in a receiving touchdown in the final seconds before the half. However, he didn't play a single snap in the second half and has missed the past two games due to that nagging knee/ankle injury. Those were the first two games that he has missed all year.
But, entering the Dolphins Wild Card game against the Kansas City Chiefs, there's a good chance the 31-year-old will return. On Monday, Miami head coach Mike McDaniel said he's "optimistic" that Mostert will play this weekend. That's a good sign for his availability on Saturday night.
Raheem Mostert Fantasy Football Playoff Outlook
If you play in a fantasy playoff challenge, there's a good chance that Mostert will be available for Super Wild Card Weekend. McDaniel's comments on Monday are encouraging, and he has been pretty open to the media about the injury status of his players all season.
How much Mostert plays remains to be seen if he suits up. There's a strong chance the veteran is not 100% healthy for Saturday's game, which could result in more chances for rookie running back De'Von Achane.
In daily fantasy sports (DFS) contests, Mostert's potential playing time could make him a risky play. However, his touchdown upside immediately boosts him in all contests. If active, he will be the Dolphins' goal-line back, which should help him score a touchdown in the first round.
