Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant was recently ruled out of the Week 9 contest against the Los Angeles Rams due to a groin injury. This marks a significant absence for the Seahawks, especially as they navigate without wide receiver DK Metcalf, who is sidelined with a Grade 1 MCL sprain suffered in Week 7.
The 26-year-old's absence adds pressure to an already thin receiving corps, and his performance this season makes his potential return something to watch closely.
Monitoring Fant's recovery will be crucial in the coming weeks, particularly with the Seahawks facing challenges in their offensive lineup.

Noah Fant Injury Update
The injury to Fant occurred during practice last Wednesday, leading to his first missed game since joining the Seahawks from the Denver Broncos in 2022.
Head coach Mike Macdonald provided an update, stating, "It's going to be some time. We don't anticipate him being on IR, but we are unsure of his availability after the bye right now."
DK Metcalf “just needs more time,” Mike Macdonald says. Mike expects DK back after bye but that’s obviously still TBD.
Noah Fant injured his groin in practice and also needs more time, Mike says.

Fortunately, Seattle has a Week 10 bye, giving Fant some much-needed time to rest and recover.
As of now, there is no definitive timeline for his return. While the coaching staff is optimistic about not needing to place him on injured reserve, the uncertainty surrounding his recovery leaves fans and fantasy managers eager for additional information.
Noah Fant Fantasy Football Outlook
With the Seahawks offense already affected by Metcalf's absence, the Iowa product's injury is a significant blow. His 27 receptions and 285 yards illustrate his role in the passing game, making him a key component of the Seahawks' offensive strategy. If he recovers quickly, Fant has the potential to be a dependable tight-end option once again.

As Seattle heads into its bye week, fantasy managers need to keep an eye on updates regarding Fant's status. If he can return to practice post-bye, it could clarify his availability for the following game. However, if his groin injury lingers, fantasy managers may need to look for alternatives at the tight-end position.
With the uncertainty surrounding Fant and Metcalf, the Seahawks' receiving options may be limited. As they regroup during the bye week, the team must ensure that the tight end fully recovers before returning to action. The hope is that he can quickly regain his form and contribute significantly as the season progresses.
