Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins suffered a hamstring injury in Week 5 against the Buffalo Bills and has missed the past two games for Houston.
Before his injury, Collins looked like one of the NFL's best players, catching 32 passes for 567 yards in just five games. He went over 100 yards three times and his fewest yards came in the game where he was injured, when he still caught two passes for 78 yards and a touchdown.
When will Nico Collins return to action, and what is his fantasy football outlook when he does? Let's dive in.

Nico Collins Injury Update
Nico Collins is on the Injured Reserve, so he will be required to at least miss the next two games for the Texans. That will keep him out at least Week 8 against the Indianapolis Colts and Week 9 against the New York Jets.

The team hasn't said much about when Collins will be back, but he could return to the field in Week 10 against the Detroit Lions. That's a matchup between two very good teams, so Houston would certainly love to have Collins on the field for that game.
Unless we hear negative murmurs about his availability for that game, fantasy managers should be hopeful that Collins will play in Week 10.
Nico Collins Fantasy Football Outlook
Nico Collins was playing like an elite WR1 before his injury. Once he's back on the field, fantasy managers should expect him to return to that level. He is a strong fantasy WR1 play.

For the next two weeks, the Texans passing offense should be downgraded across the board. C.J. Stroud completed just 10 passes for 86 yards last week, so Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell weren't able to take advantage of Collins' absence.
Diggs is a WR2 play with Collins out, but the rest of the Texans pass catchers lack significant upside.
