Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins has missed the team's past five games with a hamstring injury, but it sounds like Collins is nearing a return.
After a four-game stint on the Injured Reserve, Collins was activated ahead of Sunday's loss to the Lions, but he ended up being inactive for that contest.
When will Nico Collins return to action, and what is his fantasy football outlook when he does? Let's dive in.

Nico Collins Injury Update
Nico Collins was activated from the IR ahead of the Sunday Night Football contest between the Texans and Lions, but Collins didn't play in the game. He was considered a game-time decision because of the hamstring injury and did not clear pregame activities.
The #Texans will play it safe with Nico Collins.
The Colts lost, which means your lead in the division will stay the same even if we lose tonight.
Makes sense to keep Nico out and an extra week to make sure his hamstring isn't aggravated again.

With Collins coming fairly close to playing in Week 10, fantasy managers should expect Collins to be on the field in Week 11 against the Dallas Cowboys, especially with that being a Monday game, which allows an extra day of time for Collins to get as close as he can to 100%.
Setbacks can always happen, but it's pretty clear that the expectation is that Collins will play in Week 11.
Nico Collins Fantasy Football Outlook
Before his injury, Nico Collins was one of the NFL's top receivers. Collins averaged 6.4 receptions for 113.4 yards and 0.6 touchdowns in his five games in 2024, a number made even more impressive when you consider he played just nine snaps in Week 5 before injuring his hamstring and leaving the game.
Nico Collins healthy 100 percent, outlook positive for next week against #Cowboys just didn't do enough this week at practice @KPRC2 https://t.co/1HbvhCfDfG

Now with Stefon Diggs out for the year, Collins should see one of the league's highest target shares once he's back out on the football field.
Fantasy managers should consider Collins to be a high-end WR1 option going forward. He's a must-start player every week regardless of matchup because he's shown that he can be an elite NFL wide receiver over the past two seasons.
