Fantasy managers who have been holding Mike Trout for the last two months are finally getting some good news.
When talking to reporters this weekend, Trout sounded very optimistic about a late July return.
That's certainly not an official timeframe as it's coming from the athlete personally, but if Trout does end up returning with two months left in the season it could be a huge boon to fantasy teams who have been without the elite slugger for most of the 2024 season.

Mike Trout Injury Update for Fantasy Baseball
Trout was off to a very typical start this season, swatting ten home runs in his first 109 at-bats and stealing six bases. He was hitting just .220 when he got hurt, although with a very unlucky .196 BABIP. He did have only 14 RBI as most of his home runs were solo shots.

The Angels have no real reason to rush Trout back as they are near the bottom of the standings with little hope of making the playoffs. However, it sounds as if Trout is determined to get back and he will likely push the organization to let him play as soon as he proves he's totally healthy.
Mike Trout Fantasy Baseball Outlook
Trout is set to start his rehabilitation soon which will involve live hitting and running the bases. As of right now, he's playing catch and doing some light jogging, but has reported that his knee is "pain-free except for some occasional soreness." He will then likely head out on a rehab assignment in the minors for at least a week, which puts a late-July return within reasonable expectations.

All managers can do is continue to hold Trout with the hope that everything goes well on his path back to the Angels lineup. Less we forget that this is one of the greatest hitters of the modern era and when Trout is in the lineup, he's putting up stats. Even on a bad team with nothing to play for, Mike Trout is a guy who is going to give everything he's got and then some -- he simply doesn't know any other way to play.
