Green Bay Packers running back MarShawn Lloyd (ankle) has now missed seven straight games with an ankle injury he picked up in Week 2, and he seems like a more likely candidate to appear on a show about missing persons than he does on an NFL field. It's been a tough season for him.
He was expected to be an explosive backup option behind lead back Josh Jacobs, but instead has languished in IR, rehabbing the ankle issue

MarShawn Lloyd Injury Update
The Packers have been surprisingly tight-lipped about Lloyd in recent weeks. There have been virtually no real updates on his status. It's led to speculation about whether he could miss the remainder of the season, but there's no confirmation on that yet. For now, we really don't have much to go off of.

This isn't a total surprise, considering Green Bay has their bye week in Week 10. They will face the divisional rival Chicago Bears in Week 11, so he'll have his next chance to return to action by then. It may take until closer to that game for us to get meaningful updates.
MarShawn Lloyd Fantasy Football Outlook
Green Bay staff raved about his skillset and potential contributions to the team in the offseason. If he comes back fully healthy (and that's a big if), he'll be in a complimentary role with the team's No. 1 RB Jacobs, and likely siphon away a non-insignificant amount of touches from him.
He didn't have an incredibly productive day, but I thought MarShawn Lloyd showed some promise in his first NFL action. pic.twitter.com/KG1vm70W91

He's a very talented back, and will likely be fantasy-relevant in at least deep leagues. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur's ability to make stars out of talented players should not be underestimated. He's revived Jacobs' career and fantasy relevance, and he can make a productive player out of Lloyd.
He clearly looked explosive in his first NFL action, and it's just bad luck that he's had these injury concerns. He should be monitored by fantasy managers, especially those in deeper leagues.
