New Orleans Saints running back Kendre Miller (hamstring) is quickly becoming one of the biggest what-ifs of the 2023 NFL Draft class. He's battled through a multitude of injuries, and his difficulty with staying on the field has been so great that now-fired head coach Dennis Allen specifically called him out for it.
While it wasn't the most professional move by Allen, it highlighted the second-year pro's struggles with the injury bug that haven't given him much of a break. He played in just eight games in 2023, and through nine weeks of 2024, he's been active for only two contests.
So when will he return and be back to play, and hopefully not pick up another ailment, for the Saints?

Kendre Miller Injury Update
He picked up yet another hamstring injury, and was placed on injured reserve for the second time this season. This means he won't be eligible to return until Week 14, when his team will face the New York Giants. It's now fair to question if he'll be activated at all or will remain on IR for the rest of the season.
Kendre Miller placed on IR for yet another hamstring injury/reinjury.
Every player can be activated off of IR a MAX of twice per season now.
So there’s still a chance he plays this year. Will he though? I guess we’ll find out. https://t.co/owwa0Sp2LW— Jeff Mueller, PT, DPT (@jmthrivept) November 2, 2024
It's his second hamstring injury this year. He seems to have underlying health issues that have made his hammies completely faulty, considering that he missed plenty of time in 2023 to issues with the same muscles as well. The hope for him contributing to fantasy teams is fading rapidly.
Kendre Miller Fantasy Football Outlook
For now, there really isn't much of an outlook. We've seen so little NFL action from him and there's so much uncertainty around his ability to string even a few healthy games together that it's difficult to ascertain his potential performance when he returns. He'd have to play behind lead back Alvin Kamara, anyway.

If he gets activated from IR, and if he returns to play and can manage to stay healthy, he'll best profile as simply a handcuff to the lead back. The problem with that is that he'd probably split carries with tight end Taysom Hill and third-string back Jamaal Williams, severely capping his upside. He can be dropped all but the deepest of leagues now.
