Los Angeles Chargers wideout Joshua Palmer has been a solid flex play in fantasy this season when healthy. He has five games this year with at least 10 PPR fantasy points and is averaging 10.6 PPR fantasy points per game in 2023.
However, Palmer has had trouble staying healthy this year. He missed six games from Week 9 to Week 14 with a knee injury and has now missed another contest in Week 17 against the Denver Broncos with a concussion.
So, when is Palmer coming back to action? Will he play in Week 18? Let's dive in.

Joshua Palmer's Latest Injury Update
It's unclear when exactly Palmer sustained the concussion, but it must have happened sometime in Week 16 against the Buffalo Bills. The wideout played 65-of-70 snaps in that game, and fantasy managers didn't know about his concussion until it was reported last week that he didn't practice on Wednesday.
Palmer did not practice at all last week, and as a result, he was ruled out in Week 17. However, the 24-year-old will return to the field in Week 18 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Palmer officially cleared the concussion protocol on Friday, making him eligible to return in the season finale. The wideout practiced in a limited fashion on Wednesday and Thursday before upgrading to a full practice on Friday, which was enough to clear him for Sunday's game.
Joshua Palmer Fantasy Football Outlook
As mentioned earlier, Palmer has been a consistent fantasy option when given opportunities on offense this season. With Keenan Allen (heel) already ruled out for Week 18, the young wideout should continue to see more chances this weekend, even with Easton Stick at quarterback.
In two games without Allen this season, Palmer is averaging 15.5 PPR fantasy points, including a big 113-yard, one-touchdown performance in Week 15 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
With the Chiefs likely resting starters on defense in a meaningless game, Palmer could be a sneaky option in both Week 18 championships and daily fantasy sports (DFS) contests. The 24-year-old will be back in action on Sunday and should act as the Chargers' top wideout.
