Week 8 is peeping around the corner, and all eyes are on Indianapolis where Jonathan Taylor is gearing up to shake off the cobwebs and charge back onto the gridiron. Before his unexpected sideline stint courtesy of a high-ankle sprain in Week 4, Taylor was tearing up defenses with 349 yards off 72 carries and dancing into the end zone four times, boasting a robust 4.8 yards per carry.
Fantasy managers were riding high on these sweet stats, banking on Taylor as a reliable workhorse to carry their squads through the fantasy wilderness.
It’s been a rough ride for managers who banked on Taylor's production to help anchor their squads. So, when should we expect Taylor to be back on the field on Sundays?

Jonathan Taylor Fantasy Football Injury Update
But as the autumn leaves started to fall, so did the hopes of many when Taylor took a hit to his ankle that benched him for the next three games. It’s been a tense few weeks in fantasy circles, with managers scrambling to fill the void left by one of the league’s premier backs. The Colts’ backfield turned into a carousel of uncertainty, leaving fantasy lineups feeling like a game of musical chairs every week.
Colts coach Shane Steichen says he's "very optimistic" that DeForest Buckner and Jonathan Taylor will return to practice this week. That would be a massive boost if and when it happens.

The downside to all of this is that Taylor has missed parts of two seasons of his NFL career due to the same injury. The hope is that it isn't serious, but with the Colts record sitting at 4-3 and plenty of fantasy rosters are clinging for dear life, he really needs to get back into action in Week 8.
Jonathan Taylor Fantasy Football Injury Impact
Now, as whispers of Taylor’s return grow louder, the anticipation is building. Could Week 8 be the comeback we’ve all been waiting for? The Colts are hungry for their lead back to reclaim his turf, and fantasy owners are even more desperate to see those high-yardage games again. But as we’ve all learned the hard way, optimism in fantasy football should be tempered with caution.

Will Taylor hit the ground running, or will this high-ankle sprain linger like a bad guest who won’t leave the party? Strap in, it’s going to be an interesting week in the fantasy realm. But expectations out of Indianapolis seem to be that the Colts workhorse back will be suiting up for Week 8.
