Superstars like Yordan Alvarez, Blake Snell, Tyler Glasnow, and Michael King are all dealing with injuries.
Three more players dealing with injuries are New York Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr., Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Shota Imanaga, and Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Anthony Santander. These three players are sitting in most IL spots heading into Week 10 of the fantasy baseball season.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. Injury Update For Fantasy Baseball
It has been a while since we have seen Chisholm in a major league game. He last appeared with the Yankees back on April 29. The 27-year-old injured his oblique in his first at-bat in that game and left the contest early following a double down the line. The injury occurred just a few swings earlier, with the former All-Star reaching for his side during that at-bat.
Since then, Chisholm has missed multiple weeks due to a high-grade oblique strain. He officially went on the 10-day IL on May 2 (retroactive to April 30) and continues to progress toward a return. The 27-year-old went on a rehab assignment with Double-A Somerset on Thursday, which means he could return very soon.
Chisholm went 2-for-3 with two runs and one walk in his first rehab start on Thursday and then went 1-for-3 with one stolen base two days later. All in all, he has gone 3-for-9 with one double, two runs, one walk, and one stolen base in his three rehab appearances while starting at third base in two of those contests.

With some games now under his belt, there's a good chance that Chisholm will be activated off the 10-day IL in the coming days. Yankees manager Aaron Boone said a few days ago that the infielder could be back with the team as soon as Tuesday in the team's series opener against the Cleveland Guardians. That means a return is near for the 27-year-old.
He is expected to play third base once activated and should put up solid all-around numbers in this New York lineup. Chisholm hit seven home runs and stole six bases in his first 30 games this season. So, he could be a sneaky buy-low option before his return. Even with his missed time, the Yankees infielder should be on pace for another 20-20 campaign.
Shota Imanaga Injury Update For Fantasy Baseball
There's no doubt Imanaga was one of the best fantasy pitchers during his rookie campaign. He finished the year with 15 wins, a 2.91 ERA, and 174 strikeouts in 173 1/3 innings pitched. Unsurprisingly, the left-hander has continued his strong numbers into his sophomore season, posting a 2.82 ERA across his first eight starts.
However, fantasy managers haven't seen Imanaga pitch in almost one month. The Japanese native injured his leg trying to cover first base in a start on May 4 against the Milwaukee Brewers. The southpaw was then immediately placed on the 15-day IL one day later due to a left hamstring strain.

The good news, though, is that Imanaga continues to work his way back from that hamstring strain. He threw his second bullpen session on May 31 and is headed to the Cubs spring training complex in Arizona this week to face live hitters in batting practice. Following that, the left-hander could go on a rehab assignment.
So, we might not be too far away from an Imanaga return. While it remains to be seen how many rehab games he will appear in, there's a strong chance that the Cubs pitcher will be back with the major league club sometime in the middle of June. That means fantasy managers only have a few more weeks to wait until his return.
Fantasy managers who own Imanaga should keep him in one of their IL slots for the time being. He was a solid fantasy option to start the season and will remain one throughout the 2025 campaign. Although the 31-year-old won't strike out a ton of batters, it is encouraging that his 32.7% whiff rate currently ranks in the 88th percentile.
Anthony Santander Injury Update For Fantasy Baseball
When the Blue Jays signed Santander to a five-year, $92.5 million contract this offseason, the team expected him to build on his All-Star campaign. The slugging outfielder hit a career-high 44 home runs and drove in 102 runs in his final season with the Orioles in 2024. However, he has been one of the most disappointing fantasy players this year.
He is slashing just .179/.273/.304 across 50 games and recently landed on the 10-day IL due to a shoulder injury. Santander has been battling both a shoulder and a hip issue for most of the season, so it makes sense that the Blue Jays decided to give him some time off. The switch-hitting outfielder was in a 0-for-17 stretch with seven strikeouts before landing on the IL.
It has really been a rough season for the 2024 All-Star, and Toronto hopes this IL stint will help get him right. While the Blue Jays are still figuring out the best course of action with Santander's shoulder injury, the team could give him a cortisone shot in the coming days to alleviate the pain and reduce the swelling.
Anthony Santander had an MRI on his shoulder yesterday and the #BlueJays are still evaluating whether something happened to make it worse after the initial injury.
Could be a cortisone shot, could be rest, but that's TBD for now. They didn't want him playing through it more.

For now, fantasy managers are in a wait-and-see mode on when Santander could potentially return. It could be a few weeks or could turn out to be longer if the team finds some damage in his shoulder. As a result, there really isn't a clear timeline for when we could expect the 30-year-old back with the major league club.
If you own Santander in your fantasy league, this is definitely a tricky situation. Even though he has really struggled offensively, it's hard to ignore his potential if he ever does figure it out at the plate. His 44 home runs ranked second in the majors last season, and his 102 RBI ranked ninth among all players.
Therefore, if you have an open IL slot on your roster, then it's best to keep him stashed there until he returns. If all your IL slots are filled, it might not be a bad thing to see if any fantasy manager in your league would take a chance on him. Santander's metrics suggest that things might not get better for him upon his return.
His expected batting average (.197), expected slugging (.320), barrel rate (4.6%), and strikeout rate (26.3%) all rank extremely poorly. So, fantasy managers should only stash him if they have an open IL spot on their roster.
