Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle had another strong regular season in 2023, averaging 14 PPR points per game and scoring less than 10 only three times in full games. The Dolphins' offense ranked second in passing DVOA and was dynamic enough for both Tyreek Hill and Waddle to produce.
Waddle has missed the last two games after leaving the team's Week 16 win over the Cowboys early. Miami is 0-2 in those games and will hope the 25-year-old can return for Super Wild Card Weekend.
When is Waddle coming back to action? What is his fantasy football outlook when he returns? Let's dive in.

Jaylen Waddle Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Waddle (ankle) played just 43 percent of snaps in Week 16 against Dallas before exiting with an injury. He never returned to the game, but he did participate in practice with limited involvement one day prior to Week 18.
The Miami medical staff advised Waddle to sit out the AFC East championship in Week 18, despite the Alabama alum pushing to play. On Monday, coach Mike McDaniel said he's optimistic Waddle will be able to play at Kansas City in the Wild Card against the Chiefs.
Miami's offense has struggled in the last two weeks, and their defense continues to face injury challenges. With hopes that Waddle and Raheem Mostert can return, the Dolphins look to get back on track in time for a title run.
Jaylen Waddle Fantasy Football Outlook
Sharing targets all year with MVP candidate Hill has undoubtedly limited Waddle's ceiling, but the Dolphins' prolific offense has allowed Waddle to be a very strong option alongside him. However, he has dealt with an assortment of injuries all season and will be coming off an ankle injury to suit up and play against the Chiefs.
Kansas City allows the third-fewest points per game to receivers this season, and they rank fifth in DVOA against the pass. The third-year receiver had one of his worst games of the year in Week 9 against the Chiefs, catching just three passes for 42 yards.
If he suits up, Waddle ranks as a solid WR2 with risks due to injury and a challenging matchup.
