Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco lasted just two games this season before being sidelined and placed on Injured Reserve with a fractured fibula. The former seventh-round pick out of Rutgers scored a touchdown in Week 1 and was well on his way to a 100-yard rushing performance in Week 2. In his absence, Kareem Hunt has flourished, making fantasy managers who selected Pacheco even more frustrated.
The potential return timeline for Pacheco has been up in the air, but managers should check back weekly for any updates.
When will Pacheco be back, and what's his fantasy football outlook when he returns? Let's dive in.

Isiah Pacheco Injury Update
While there has been fear that Pacheco (leg) could miss the remainder of the 2024 season, there is reason for optimism after the 25-year-old posted a video of himself rehabbing on a treadmill in good spirits. He wasn't spotted running yet, but he was walking at a quick pace. That can only be a good sign with much of the season still ahead.
Isiah Pacheco is back running on the treadmill which is a great sign. Some are saying he might be back as early as November. Pacheco and Hunt are going to feed families! 😤🔥

The Chiefs are unlikely to rush him along, especially since Hunt has played well in his absence. However, he brings physicality to Kansas City's offense, which is much needed given the lack of explosive passing game for the second consecutive season.
Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status for official updates, but it's looking at least somewhat more likely that he could return before the end of the regular season. Hopefully, he can return sometime in late November or early December.
Isiah Pacheco Fantasy Football Outlook
If Pacheco returns before the end of the fantasy football season, he could have RB2 value, but he's more likely going to be a flex consideration. He's probably going to be limited by his major leg injury, and Hunt has played well enough to keep at least a part-time role.
The first week he returns will bring a tough start-or-sit decision, but getting him back will be significant. That said, if you need immediate production and are rostering Pacheco, he might be worth trying to trade away.
