Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis has had a very up-and-down season. The 24-year-old wideout finished with just 45 catches for 746 yards and seven touchdowns in 2023, both marks were worse than his 2022 numbers.
But Davis has also stepped up big-time in some games this year, like in Week 16 against the Los Angeles Chargers when he caught four passes for 130 yards and one touchdown. The young wideout, though, suffered a PCL sprain in Week 18, which caused him to miss the Wild Card Round.
Is Davis still hurt? Will he play in the Divisional Round? Let's dive in.

Gabe Davis Injury Update
Davis suffered a PCL sprain in the Bills' victory over the Miami Dolphins in Week 18 after playing just 18 snaps. The 24-year-old wideout did not return in that contest and wound up missing the team's Wild Card Round win over the Pittsburgh Steelers last weekend.
Davis was unable to practice in any capacity last week and was ruled out on Friday. So he'll need to practice in some capacity this week in order to play in the Divisional Round against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Bills head coach Sean McDermott said on Tuesday that Davis is currently being viewed as day-to-day. With Buffalo playing on Sunday evening, Buffalo will hold its first official practice of the week on Wednesday. His practice status leading up to this weekend will be key.
Gabe Davis Fantasy Football Playoff Outlook
It remains to be seen if Davis will play on Sunday. But if he is active, he is a boom/bust option in the Divisional Round. The wideout has been that type of fantasy player all year, and that shouldn't change in the playoffs.
Davis scored above 20 PPR fantasy points in five games this season. But he was also held to under 4.5 PPR fantasy points in eight of 17 contests in 2023. That makes him an extremely risky option in daily fantasy sports (DFS) contests this week, especially against a tough Chiefs defense.
Earlier this year, Davis was held to zero catches on an 82% snap share back in Week 14 against this Kansas City secondary. Don't forget, the young wideout also had a record day back in the Divisional Round in 2021 when he totaled 201 receiving yards and four touchdowns against the Chiefs.
It's unlikely we see that again, especially with Davis coming off a PCL sprain. If active this weekend, he will probably not be 100% on the field, and given his track record this season, he's a risky play.
