Los Angeles Rams receiver Cooper Kupp has been one of the most legendary fantasy wide receivers. He was the first receiver since 2005 to win the Triple Crown.
Early on in 2022, it looked like he could have repeated that feat, but then he went down with an injury and missed the second half of the season. So there was optimism that Kupp would be back to his old self in 2023. Unfortunately, he was hurt in preseason again, and it looked scary when he went down again in Week 11.
Will Cooper Kupp be back soon? When is Kupp coming back to action? What is his fantasy football outlook when he returns? Let's dive in.

Cooper Kupp's Latest Injury Update - November 22
Cooper Kupp (ankle) is day-to-day, and Rams Coach Sean McVay is hopeful that Kupp could be able to play in Week 12 against the Arizona Cardinals. Kupp is "doing everything in his power to play," McVay said, but, "It's not something where you're saying he's definitely going to be out for this week, but you want to see the functionality."
Cooper Kupp Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Fantasy managers and Rams fans were filled with concern when Kupp went down and clutched his ankle against the Seahawks in the second quarter last week. He showed unmistakable pain while lying on the bench as a trainer worked his leg.
The injury limited Kupp to just 12 passing plays. He usually plays over 30 snaps. He only made one catch for 11 yards before being sidelined. In the preseason, Kupp was dealing with a hamstring injury, and that caused him to miss the first four games of the season. Unfortunately, the accumulation of injuries has taken a toll on the 30-year-old Kupp.
Cooper Kupp Fantasy Football Outlook
Kupp faces the Arizona Cardinals, a poor-quality defense that he could be able to exploit if healthy. The Cardinals are allowing the sixth-most yards to opposing fantasy wide receivers. They are allowing 7.1 yards per pass attempt, the seventh-most in the league.
While their total passing yards allowed per game is below the league average, that is largely because they are facing fewer passing attempts than average. Opponents gain leads and run the ball. While the Rams are favored to win, they are not huge favorites, so they might still have to throw the ball.
Kupp already went for over 100 yards against the Cardinals, catching seven passes for 148 yards and a touchdown in Week 6, and besides Kupp, the Cardinals have allowed four other 100-yard-receiving games. Last week, they allowed another to the Texans' Tank Dell.
If Kupp is healthy, he is a strong start against the Cardinals.
