Milwaukee starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff was placed on the injured list back in April. He suffered a Grade 2 subscapular strain and has been sidelined ever since. He has played only two games this season and has been heavily missed by the Brewers.
Woodruff had a great season last year, and expectations were high for him to continue dominating. The injury came at a bad time, but fortunately, he will be available at the most important time of the season.
He has made great progress in his recovery from the injury, and in this article, we will discuss when he is likely to return and play for the Brewers in MLB.

When Will Brandon Woodruff Return To Play For The Brewers?
Last week, the 30-year-old Brewers ace made his first rehab start with High-A Wisconsin. He threw 32 pitches in three innings for no runs and three strikeouts during his first appearance since getting placed on the IL.
This was great news for all the Brewers fans, as Woodruff looked good, and barring any late setbacks, he is expected to pitch in the majors in the earlier part of August. The exact date hasn't been revealed yet, but we can estimate that he might feature in the series about the Colorado Rockies, which will begin on August 7th.
Brandon Woodruff Will Be Critical For Brewers in Postseason
The Brewers missed the playoffs last season, but this year they find themselves in a great spot to win the NL Central and reach the playoffs. With Woodruff's return, their pitching will improve, and they can be a strong team in the postseason.
The starting trio of Corbin Burnes, Freddy Peralta, and Brandon Woodruff will be tough to handle for teams. Moreover, Christian Yelich and William Contreras will hope to continue their hot form come October.
Once he's back from the IL, Woodruff, who had a 13-4 record with an ERA of 3.05 and 190 strikeouts in 27 appearances last season, will look to stay healthy and help his team become a contender.
