Philadelphia Eagles wideout A.J. Brown began the season with a strong Week 1 performance against the Green Bay Packers. He racked up five receptions for 119 yards and a touchdown, highlighted by one of his long catch-and-run splash plays.
However, the Pro Bowler has missed each of the last two games while dealing with a hamstring injury that he suffered in practice leading up to Week 2. With injuries piling up around the league, fantasy managers with Brown on their roster are itching to get him back into the lineup.
When will A.J. Brown return to action, and what is his fantasy football outlook when he does? Let's dive in.

A.J. Brown Injury Update
Brown (hamstring) suffered his injury on the Friday before the Eagles took on the Falcons on Monday Night Football in Week 2. He did not practice the following day, and he logged "DNPs" on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday leading up to the Week 3 game against the New Orleans Saints. He was officially ruled out well before the start of that contest.
Brown indicated that he would miss a few weeks after initially suffering the injury, but there's optimism he could suit up in Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers since the organization has not placed him on the Injured Reserve list.

Fantasy managers should monitor his practice status this week, beginning on Wednesday when the team is required to release the first official injury report for Week 4.
A.J. Brown Fantasy Football Outlook
The Buccaneers have allowed the 14th-fewest fantasy points per game to wide receivers this year, so its defense should be considered a neutral matchup for wideouts so far. However, with DeVonta Smith (concussion) likely to be out after suffering a vicious hit to the head, Brown could command an even higher target share than usual if he can return on Sunday.

Brown is a must-start at all times when he's active, but his floor and ceiling could be higher if Smith is out and he's relatively healthy. If Brown and Smith are out in Week 4, Dallas Goedert should be in for another big game after posting 170 receiving yards in Philadelphia's Week 3 win. Wideouts Jahan Dotson and Johnny Wilson could have deep league flex value, but neither are sure things.
