After spending the first five seasons of his professional career with the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders, Josh Jacobs will take his talents to Green Bay in 2024.
The 26-year-old will now join one of the better offenses in the sport that is led by QB Jordan Love alongside a bevy of wide receiver talent.

Josh Jacobs Fantasy Football Outlook
The former Alabama product enjoyed the best season of his professional career in 2022 as he finished as the No.3 running back in PPR scoring with 328.3 total points. He ran a career-high 1,653 yards, with 12 scores and added an additional 4o0 receiving yards on 53 catches.

However, in 2023, Jacobs took a step back and tallied only 805 yards with six rushing scores. Through the air he caught just 37 passes for 296 yards. Jacobs did miss the final four games of the season due to a quad injury.
Even though his metrics last season did not stand out with an underwhelming 3.2 average yards after contact and a poor 12.0% broken tackle rate (per PFF), joining a much better offense should greatly boost his overall production this season.
When Should I Draft Josh Jacobs in Fantasy Football?
Currently, the 26-year-old carries an ADP of 29.1 in Yahoo leagues, which places him as a third-round selection in most leagues.
Last season, the Packers finished with the 15th-most rushing yards compared to Las Vegas who placed at the No. 30 spot. Simply being on an offense that is willing to push the ball downfield more should hopefully open up some solid rushing lanes for Jacobs.
In addition, the Packers rapidly improved as the 2023 season went. Jordan Love was the QB3 in standard scoring after Week 12 onward. If he continues his development, Jacobs should see plenty of red zone opportunities, including this ultra valuable goal-line touches.
Lastly, given the current state of the Green Bay running back room, Jacobs could finish near the top in total touches at the position this season. Recently, the Packers placed No.2 running back AJ Dillon (neck) on season-ending injured reserve. Behind Jacobs is now rookie MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring), who has had his own troubles staying on the field and getting valuable reps during training camp, as well as Emanuel Wilson.

There could easily be a path where Jacobs sees a heavy workload on a weekly basis on one of the best offenses in the sport. If you selected wide receivers early in your draft, Jacobs is absolute smash at his current ADP.
