Arizona Cardinals tight end Zach Ertz has accumulated 7,434 yards in his 11-year career. That's the 12th-most all-time and the third-most amongst active players.
Ertz was still adding to those numbers earlier this year, as he had gained 187 yards in his first seven games. Unfortunately, Ertz left the Cardinals' Week 7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, and he ended up on the injury report.
When will Zach Ertz be back? When will Ertz return from injury? Let's look at the latest Zach Ertz injury news.

Zach Ertz's Latest Injury Update - November 30
The Arizona Cardinals are releasing tight end Zach Ertz (quadriceps), according to a source. Ertz asked for his released and was granted it in order to have a chance to play for a contender the rest of the year. The 33-year-old veteran tight end hasn't played since getting injured in Week 7 and remains on Injured Reserve.
Not only is this good news for ascending Cardinals tight end Trey McBride, but it's also good news for any fantasy managers stashing Ertz in deeper leagues with hopes that he might be able to produce meaningful numbers when he returns from IR. It will all depend on where Ertz lands and how quickly he can get up to speed with a new playbook late in the season.
Zach Ertz Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Zach Ertz suffered a quad injury in Week 7. After the game, he was placed on injured reserve. Having played pro football for a decade, Ertz has suffered his share of injuries. Last year, he tore his MCL in Week 10.
But Ertz has a 5.0 durability rating in Draft Sharks' injury guide. That means he can return from injury quickly and he typically performs well with minor bruises.
Zach Ertz Fantasy Football Outlook
Zach Ertz's fantasy value faces a bigger problem than his injury, and that is the emergence of Trey McBride. The Colorado State product had a good rookie season, and now he's doing even better in his second season. McBride has taken over as the Cardinals' starting tight end, and he will likely remain in that role even after Ertz returns.
McBride has gained 291 yards in the four games since Ertz went on the IR. That's more than Ertz gained in seven games. Ertz is 33 years old, and he is entering the final year of his backloaded contract. His future in Arizona and the NFL is in question. McBride is younger and on the rise.
In 12-team leagues, most managers can find a more productive tight end than McBride on the waiver wire.
