Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis (shoulder) missed his second straight game in Week 8 with a shoulder issue he picked up after his Week 6 game against the Indianapolis Colts. The 25-year-old already had a rough start to the year, and it hasn't gotten any better as the season nears its mid-point.
He's been much maligned for his inability to lead a functional offense, and this injury to his throwing shoulder could cause even more issues down the road, especially if he's rushed back to play. Some shoulder ailments make it difficult for quarterbacks to throw accurate passes.
When will Levis return to play, and what's his fantasy football outlook for the rest of 2024?

Will Levis Injury Update for Fantasy Football
It's unclear whether the second-year pro will return for Week 9 yet. It's not known exactly how serious his injury is, though at least we can know from the words of head coach Brian Callahan that it is indeed real and not a smokescreen to bench him.

This is a situation fantasy managers will need to stay updated on. There's not much else to do this early in the week with this little information out there.
Will Levis Fantasy Football Outlook
It's actually not impossible that he loses his starting job altogether. Backup QB Mason Rudolph has arguably outplayed Levis in his two starts. Rudolph has scored three total touchdowns and turned the ball over four times as opposed to Levis scoring five touchdowns yet giving the ball away to the defense 10 times.

He created the most meme-worthy turnover back in Week 1 when he made the worst possible play he could by shoveling a pass into the air to avoid a sack, resulting in an INT by the opposing team that was returned for a touchdown. He's been a massive liability to the offense.
He also lost one of his best wide receivers, DeAndre Hopkins, who was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs before Week 8. And in that week, Rudolph led a competent offense, at least initially, resulting in WR Calvin Ridley's best game of the season. Ridley had been shockingly unproductive to that point, especially considering his massive contract.

It wasn't all sunshine and roses, though. The QB situation will be something to monitor. Due to everything that's been going on in addition to his own poor play, Levis isn't startable in 1QB leagues and is a risky player to set in lineups in 2QB leagues as well.

Tennessee should opt to evaluate their QB selection from the 2023 Draft, but it's possible they think they know enough. Only time will tell.
