Miami Dolphins wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (unspecified) is recovering from an offseason surgery that wasn't detailed by the team. Beckham used to be one of the most explosive playmakers in the NFL, but a series of injuries derailed his career.
While he's stuck around the NFL since, he's never produced close to his old numbers. After finishes of WR7, WR5 and WR4 in his first three seasons, Beckham has failed to capture his old magic and suffered two ACL tears, which have presumably impacted his ability to play.
Beckham still intends (we think) to play in 2024, though. When will Beckham return to play for the Dolphins? Let's dive in.

Odell Beckham Jr. Injury Update for Fantasy Football
The Dolphins are hopeful that Beckham will return to practice after the window opens so that he can return from his PUP designation. Beckham was placed on this PUP list because of the still unspecified surgery he had in the offseason.
Dolphins are “optimistic” WR Odell Beckham Jr. will be able to practice once his window opens to be eligible to return from PUP after Week 4. HC Mike McDaniel says he’s had no setbacks.
Two other injuries: LT Terron Armstead and CB Kendall Fuller are in the concussion protocol.

It's difficult to draw our own conclusions on Beckham's potential return, as we don't know what his injuries are, but Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel has indicated that he's made good progress in recovering from his injury. We may not know much unless Beckham or someone from the Dolphins elaborates further.
Fantasy managers who have Beckham on their rosters or those considering adding him speculatively will need to keep checking for more updates as the situation evolves.
Odell Beckham Jr. Fantasy Football Outlook
Beckham's best days are long behind him, but it's possible he could be a contributor to the Dolphins offense in 2024. That being said, it hasn't looked good so far. Even when QB Tua Tagovailoa has been healthy, the Dolphins offense has struggled so far aside from a few big plays against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1.
Felt like the entire Dolphins offense was being physically beaten up front all night

The problems for Miami extend beyond quarterback. The offensive line has struggled through three games, and it's not likely to get better right away with OT Terron Armstead in concussion protocol. If the offensive line can't step up, it will be difficult for them to get anything going.
In addition, for at least the next four games, Tagovailoa will not be available. Beckham potentially trying to work into a new offense coming off an unspecified injury after a long injury history is less than ideal, especially if his QBs are newly signed Tyler Huntley, Skylar Thompson and/or Tim Boyle.
Beckham isn't worth adding outside of extremely deep leagues. He's coasted in fantasy off name value for years and hasn't been impactful with any consistency since an odd touchdown streak in 2021. He's best left on waivers.
