Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans is one of the top pass catchers in the NFL and a likely first-ballot Hall of Famer. He has been productive this season, averaging 11.8 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.
The veteran wide receiver suffered a hamstring injury in the Week 7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, totaling one reception on three targets for 25 receiving yards and a touchdown, scoring nine fantasy points.
Unfortunately, the injury will keep the star wide receiver out of the lineup for a while. How long will Evans be on the sidelines? Let’s dive into it.

When Is Mike Evans Coming Back?
Evans was dealing with a hamstring injury heading into the Monday night matchup against the Ravens. Unfortunately, he made the injury worse, trying to score a touchdown, knocking him out for the rest of the game. Reportedly, the star wide receiver will be out through the team’s Week 11 bye, putting him on track to return in Week 12 against the New York Giants.

Mike Evans Fantasy Football Outlook
While fantasy players have to wait a few weeks before putting Evans back into their lineups, the star wide receiver has been a go-to target for Baker Mayfield all year. Furthermore, he should see even more targets with Chris Godwin out for the season after dislocating his ankle against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7.
Buccaneers officially placed wide receiver Chris Godwin on injured reserve due to his dislocated ankle. He’s expected to be out for the season.

Evans has averaged 6.4 targets per game this season, totaling seven or fewer in every contest. By comparison, Godwin has averaged 8.9 targets per game, seeing eight or more in 85.7% of the matchups. While Cade Otton stepped up last week without Godwin in the lineup, totaling nine receptions on 10 targets for 81 receiving yards, two touchdowns, and 24.6 fantasy points, Evans will be Mayfield’s top guy once healthy.
Therefore, fantasy players should have high hopes for the veteran wide receiver when he returns to the lineup.
