Tampa Bay Buccaneers star wideout Mike Evans has been the most prolific touchdown scorer at the wide receiver position since entering the league in 2014. The veteran leads the league with 100 touchdown receptions since the beginning of the 2014 season.
He was off to another hot start in 2024, catching six touchdown passes in seven games before he unfortunately injured his hamstring while making the 100th touchdown catch of his career.
When is Evans coming back to action? What is his fantasy football outlook when he returns? Let's dive in.

Mike Evans Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Evans (hamstring) suffered a hamstring injury in the Week 7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He exited the game after making a diving 25-yard touchdown catch in the end zone and has missed Tampa Bay's last three games.
Bucs wide receiver Mike Evans takes the field this morning for a bonus practice. He told me he could have tried to push it for Week 10 against the 49ers but Week 12 after the bye has always been his target. pic.twitter.com/BJQcX2t46L

It appears that Evans is nearing a return to the field as soon as Week 12 against the New York Giants. He was spotted at a "bonus practice" on Monday morning after the Bucs were given last week off and told ESPN's Jenna Laine that he probably could have played in Week 10 against the 49ers.
He ultimately played it safe and utilized his Week 11 bye as an extra week to heal up. His participation in practices throughout the remainder of this week will indicate whether he will be active against the Giants but he is trending in the right direction.
Mike Evans Fantasy Football Outlook
If Evans plays, he instantly becomes a must-start for fantasy gamers in Week 12. The Buccaneers lost both Evans and Chris Godwin, their top two receivers, in Week 7 and have been leaning on tight end Cade Otton and running back Rachaad White as their go-to receivers in the passing game. While both have been productive, the Bucs would love to get their alpha receiver back for this weekend.
Without Godwin around to share targets with, Evans will immediately reinsert himself as the No. 1 option in the passing game for Tampa. While it's not a cake matchup to return to, he drops into a decent matchup against a Giants pass defense that allows the 19th-most fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts.
Fantasy gamers can confidently start Evans as a mid to low-end WR1 in fantasy in Week 12 if he's active.
