Green Bay Packers running back MarShawn Lloyd (ankle/hamstring/appendix) has dealt with a multitude of injuries. It's never a good sign when a player has more injuries than games played in a season, and we could very well see that being the case before the year is over.
Lloyd has played in just one game so far this year, carrying the ball six times for 15 yards and catching one pass for three yards, before being pulled from the contest with an injury. That was in Week 2, and he hasn't seen the playing field since.
So when will Lloyd return, and will it even be this season?

MarShawn Lloyd Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Lloyd was placed on injured reserve after his Week 2 game due to an ankle injury. He actually had his 21-day practice window opened on Monday, November 11, but that might not matter. He was reported to be working through a hamstring injury, but subsequently, even worse news came out.

He's now dealing with appendicitis, which puts his return for the 2024 fantasy season in serious doubt. The Packers activated him from injured reserve on November 18, but this was likely a move intended to make it a possibility that he plays this season at all (think NFL playoffs). The team should place him in IR again.
This is likely because they know it will take longer than 21 days for him to recover from his appendix issues. If they didn't elevate him before his 21-day window was up, he'd be out for the full NFL season. We're heading toward Week 12, so he'd be forced to miss Weeks 12, 13, 14, and 15 if he were placed on IR before the upcoming game.
It's probably Joever. This year, at least.
MarShawn Lloyd Fantasy Football Outlook
It's probably a lost season for the rookie. He's had a brutal hand dealt to him, and we may not see him at all until 2025. If he does play at any point, he'll have so little time to get worked into the offense that there's little reason to start him at any point. He can be safely dropped outside the very deepest of leagues.
