Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marquise Brown wasn't on the field for the team in Week 1 when they faced off against the Baltimore Ravens. Brown missed the game with a shoulder injury.
Brown, who joined the team this offseason after two years in Arizona, was expected to be the No. 1 receiver for quarterback Patrick Mahomes, but Mahomes still managed to throw for 291 yards without him. Still, Brown will add another dimension to the offense.
When is Brown coming back to action? What is his fantasy football outlook when he returns? Let's dive in.

Marquise Brown's Latest Injury Update - September 6
Marquise Brown did not play against the Ravens due to a shoulder injury that he suffered during the team's first preseason game. Brown was expected to miss four to six weeks.
From @NFLGameDay Kickoff: #Chiefs WR Hollywood Brown (SC joint) is out tonight, but expected back at practice next week. He could play as early as Week 2, if all goes well. pic.twitter.com/lwGMzHt0ET

If that timeline is still true, Brown could be back on the field soon. It's possible that could be as soon as the team's Week 2 meeting with the Cincinnati Bengals, as Brown is expected to return to practice next week. Keep an eye out for updates about his availability, but a Week 2 return is definitely within the realm of possibilities.
Hollywood Brown Fantasy Football Outlook
With Brown out for the team's opener, rookie Xavier Worthy showcased what made him such a hyped prospect, scoring a pair of touchdowns, including one on a designed run play where he was able to flex his breakaway speed.
Rashee Rice had a strong game as well, and reports surfaced that he is not expected to be suspended this season for his off-field issues. On one hand, that limits some of the fantasy appeal for Brown once he's back.
The Chiefs left a lot on the field. This is not their best.

However, the Chiefs still had to rely on players like Justin Watson and JuJu Smith-Schuster in Week 1, which isn't ideal. Brown should take most of their snaps once he's healthy. We'll need to see how the targets are spread out, but he should be an upside WR3 play when he returns.
