New Orleans Saints running back Kendre Miller (hamstring) has now missed a total of nine of his team's 11 games so far due to injury issues. He started the season on injured reserve due to a hamstring problem, played in two games (Week 7 and Week 8), then was placed on IR yet again.
Miller is no stranger to dealing with serious ailments so far in his short career. He played in just eight games in 2023, racking up 156 rushing yards and one rush TD on 41 carries along with catching 10 of his 11 targets for 117 yards. He's missed more games than he's played in at this point.
So when will Miller be able to take the field again for his team?

Kendre Miller Injury Update for Fantasy Football
In one of the most bizarre twists of 2024, and in a ridiculous move that likely contributed to his eventual firing, former New Orleans head coach Dennis Allen placed Miller on injured reserve for a second time, despite the team believing that he'd miss Week 9 and be ready to return for Week 10.
Former #Saints’ HC Dennis Allen was responsible for placing RB Kendre Miller on IR for a minor injury, sparking frustration among the coaching staff, per @LASportsDotNet.

The memes centered around Allen's hatred for the second-year back were not totally unfounded. It seems to have been an act of disgust or revenge. It was an absurd move, and it's likely the former head man will never occupy the same position with another NFL franchise because of it.
Now, No. 25 won't be able to play until Week 14, when his team takes on the New York Giants. The silver lining is that he should be fully healthy by then.
Kendre Miller Fantasy Football Outlook
He'll be the backup to lead running back Alvin Kamara, and the 29-year old has played well enough that there should be not doubt that he'll keep his job. Miller's eventual role remains to be seen in offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak's system. We simply haven't seen enough of him in 2024 to gauge anything with accuracy.

At least he has good draft capital working for him. He will make sense to roster as a handcuff for Kamara managers, but his standalone value remains to be seen.
