Keaton Mitchell Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Keaton Mitchell tore his ACL during the Dec. 17 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars last season and has not played since, but it sounds like Mitchell is getting closer to making his 2024 debut.
#Ravens HC John Harbaugh on when Keaton Mitchell (torn ACL) will return:
“It’s not a comeback during training camp or first game type of thing. I think we all know that. It’s sometime during the season. It’s not, like, right around the corner.” pic.twitter.com/l34w54RLlG

The Ravens haven't provided many updates on Mitchell. Earlier this week, head coach John Harbaugh indicated that he is both "optimistic" and "positive" about Mithcell.
That seems to indicate that Mitchell's return is not imminent, but that he is on track to play in 2024. Don't expect to see him in Week 7 against the Buccaneers, but he should be back at some point.
Keaton Mitchell Fantasy Football Outlook
Keaton Mitchell is a very talented player. As a rookie, he averaged 8.4 yards per carry in eight games for the Ravens and showcased that he could be a big-play back for the team.
Unfortunately, his 2024 fantasy value is capped by the fact that the Ravens brought in Derrick Henry this offseason and have given him full control of this backfield.
Henry has 119 carries this year, while the second-place player on the team, Justice Hill, has just 20. Mitchell is a talented player, but there's just no room for any other Ravens running back to finish with much fantasy football value with Henry controlling this backfield.
Keaton Mitchell going from jog to sprint in such a flash and getting ahead of Zay Flowers to block for him is wild lol. pic.twitter.com/mx029HZlEl

Available on the waiver wire in the vast majority of leagues, Mitchell is only worth adding in deep leagues where you can afford to roster a handcuff option.
