Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson has been a fantasy superstar since the moment he entered the NFL in 2020, and he was trending toward another fantastic season in 2023. Unfortunately, the three-time 1,400-plus-yard receiver played in only five games before heading to the Injured Reserve list, leaving NFL fans and fantasy managers without the exciting play-maker.
However, Jefferson seems to be close to returning, and we have his latest update.
When is Jefferson returning? Will he play in Week 10 against the Saints? Let's dive in.

Is Justin Jefferson Coming Back in Week 10?
Jefferson (hamstring) has been on the Injured Reserve list since suffering a hamstring injury in the Week 5 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. He has missed his required four games on IR, and the Vikings are opening his 21-day window to be activated to the active roster. This means Jefferson is eligible to practice this week, but it doesn't necessarily mean he'll play in Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints.
His recovery timeline was originally listed as 4-6 weeks, so he should be returning sooner than later. Fantasy managers will need to check back later in the week to see if he has a shot at playing on Sunday.
Justin Jefferson Injury Update and Fantasy Outlook
When Jefferson does return, it will be interesting to see how he performs with quarterback Joshua Dobbs. Dobbs came off the bench in relief of Jaren Hall (concussion) last week and posted over 200 yards passing and three total touchdowns after being with the organization for just five days.
It was a promising team debut for Dobbs, so hopefully, he will be able to distribute the ball to Jefferson well enough to yield high-end WR1 numbers. As soon as Jefferson is announced as being active, he should be locked into fantasy lineups. His upside far outweighs his risk -- in all matchups.
Hopefully, Jefferson can make his return in Week 10 and face the Saints, who have surrendered multiple big games from fantasy wide receivers who are far inferior to the 24-year-old star.
