When is Jasson Dominguez getting called up? Will Jasson Dominguez play in August of this MLB season? Read about Jasson Dominguez's debut date and fantasy baseball prospect updates for 2024.
The New York Yankees are currently 67-46 and tied with the Baltimore Orioles for the AL East division lead. With 49 games left to go, both teams will look to play their best baseball of the season in order to win the division and earn a better seed heading into the postseason.
With that in mind, the Yankees may have to get creative in boosting their team's offense. Besides superstars Aaron Judge and Juan Soto, many of the Yankees’ sluggers are underperforming. Anthony Volpe, Gleyber Torres, and Alex Verdugo, three players who were supposed to help lead the Yankees in 2024, are batting .261, .235, and .233, respectively.
The Yankees do, however, have someone in their organization they can turn to in Jasson Dominguez, the 25th-ranked prospect according to MLB Pipeline.
Jasson Dominguez Prospect Update for Fantasy Baseball
Dominguez has been dealing with injury problems during the second half of 2023 and the majority of 2024 so far.
However, he is healthy right now after returning on July 26th from an oblique injury that has kept him out of action since mid-June. Since returning, he is 5-27, with one double and four RBI.

Although those numbers don’t jump off the page, it is expected that it may take a little bit of time for him to get back into playing everyday shape, as many players require.
Jasson Dominguez Outlook for Fantasy Baseball
Dominguez has tremendous upside as a fantasy player. He has a great swing and massive power potential. Last season, when he was on the Yankees roster, he appeared in eight games and did quite well. He slashed .258/.303/.677 with four HRs and seven RBIs.
Through 16 games in Triple-A this season, he is slashing .302/.343/.460, with two HRs, seven RBIs, ten runs, and four stolen bases.
The Yankees could look to call Dominguez up as early as this week, as every game is important from now until October. If he continues to show signs and flashes of success, expect him to earn an everyday role and run with it on the Yankees major league roster.
