Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker (knee) wasn't able to play in Week 11, and is set to miss four total games due to being placed on injured reserve with a knee injury. It will thus mark just the third time in his career that he'll be unable to play in at least 16 regular season games.
Kicker isn't the most injury-prone position, but the forces required to be generated through the legs to kick footballs hundreds of feet through the air don't always come without consequences. It's not difficult to imagine that their accuracy could fall off massively even due to moderate injuries, so it makes sense for them to need to be fully healthy to play.
So when will Butker return?

Harrison Butker Injury Update for Fantasy Football
He's reportedly set to miss "minimal" time. Since he was placed on IR ahead of his team's Week 11 game, he'll be forced to miss the next three contests. The eighth-year pro will first be eligible to return to action in Week 15 against the Cleveland Browns.

He tore his meniscus at some point, but opted to go with a "trim" surgery, which would allow him to return within just a few weeks. It has much worse long-term prognosis, but will allow him to return much sooner.
#Chiefs K Harrison Butker is expected to have surgery to trim his meniscus in his left knee, per source. That's why he's headed to IR, though he'll be back for the home stretch and playoffs.

Harrison Butker Fantasy Football Outlook
He's been a fine kicker to start this season, but not a particularly tantalizing option. Kansas City's offense has been a shell of what it was in previous seasons. They rank 11th in points scored per game, which is fine, but the lowest they've ranked since 2016. A big part of why is the injuries they've faced.
This 4th qtr drive that made it 23-21. I hope the #Chiefs coaching staff can tap into on offense and replicate more of the rhythm and efficiency. They were locked in here. #ChiefsKingdom pic.twitter.com/ifX3sC0gCB

The signing of wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and the return of running back Isiah Pacheco (leg) from his injury should help. Pacheco should be close to 100% by Week 15, giving Butker a better outlook for the rest of the season. He has a solid shot finish top-10 at his position in points per game.
